Spiritual Gurus AI ("we", "us") operates www.spiritualgurus.ai. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights as a user.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us: email address (waitlist signup), country, and any messages you send us.
- Information collected automatically: anonymised usage statistics via Google Analytics 4 (through Google Tag Manager), including pages viewed, device type, browser, approximate location, and referring URL. Core Web Vitals metrics are also collected.

2. Why we collect it
- To send you launch notifications and founding-seeker updates (only if you joined our waitlist).
- To understand which content is useful so we can improve the site.
- To meet legal obligations (tax, security).
3. Legal basis (GDPR)
For EU visitors, our legal bases for processing are: your consent (analytics cookies), our legitimate interest (site security, fraud prevention), and contractual necessity (delivering what you signed up for).
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with trusted processors:
- Google (Analytics, Tag Manager) — usage analytics.
- Supabase — database hosting (waitlist records).
- Authentik — authentication (for account features, when live).
- Mautic — email marketing (for waitlist communications).
5. Data retention
Waitlist records are kept until you unsubscribe or we close the waitlist. Analytics data is retained per Google's default 14-month retention. Account data, when accounts exist, is retained until the account is deleted.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR and similar laws, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. EU residents also have the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents (CCPA) can request disclosure, deletion, and opt out of any sale (we don't sell).
7. International transfers
Data may be processed in countries outside your own. We use providers with appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent).
8. Children
Spiritual Gurus AI is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
